Tripura Govt unable to fill up 5,000 Teachers’ posts, amid 2000 TET Qualified youths

AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): The total numbers of unemployed who are job qualified is 1926, however, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath has announced that at least 7 years their certificates validity will remain.

When around 2000 TET qualified unemployed youths left jobless, recently Chief Minister Biplab Deb questioned about the quality of Tripura youths who are unable to pass TET examination. CM said he can give 5000 jobs in teaching but passing students are only 1,100 whereas 2000 TET qualified are left yet jobless. Tripura now has over 2000 TET Qualified unemployed youths but jobless.Resentments erupted due to alleged tough question-papers and few out of syllabus.

Education Minister Ratanlal Nath informed, STGT exam was conducted and total 450 candidates got officers and 10 PGT got offers. Out of TET qualified job aspirants of September-2018 total 269 candidates of GT and 142 UGT will get their offers shortly.

Thus, 871 candidates got jobs as Teachers by this year. Total TET qualified unemployed youths are 1926. Out of them, those who have professional degrees their TET certificates’ validity are for 7 years whereas one time relaxation holders’ TET certificates’ validity are till 21st March, 2019. Govt will distribute jobs accordingly to the needs and urgency of the validity.
