AGARTALA / KANCHANPUR, Feb 25 (TIWN): With Anti-CAA protest is taking a communal shape in Kanchanpur and few more ADC areas in Tripura, instead of protest against the Central Govt and hundreds of homeless people are suffering for unending period of time, Bengali community based “Nagarika Suraksha Mancha†and 6 Mizo NGOs jointly have called for an indefinite period of strike from February 26.
The strike has been called in Kanchanpur, Jampui Hills areas from 26th February.
The strike was necessitated as the BJP led State Govt remained deaf to the suffered people even after many requests were done before the Govt.
They have demanded a rehabilitation package for Bengali families who have been evicted from their homes from year 2000 and rehabilitation for Mizo families who were too displaced in the North Tripura District.
93 families who are right now in Ananda Bazar police station, their problem’s solution also is in the demand chart. They were de-sheltered recently during anti-CAA protest.
