AGARTALA, November 9 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is favoring all the ongoing scams of the state similarly he also failed to protect the lives and properties of the women of the state, therefore Tripura Pragatishil Gramin Congress (TPGC) demands immediate resignation of Tripura chief minister Manik Sarkar from his home portfolio.

Speaking to the media persons at his residence Chief of Tripura Pragatishil Gramin Congress (TPGC) Subal Bhowmik said that the CPIM government is unwilling to act against the scam. Only the CBI probe can find out all the irregularities regarding corruption”, Bhowmik claimed.

He further lashed out at the state government for wrong policies and mis-governance, stating that CPIM government has completely failed to check rise in prices of essential commodities. At present from minister to CPIM party workers remain deep necked in corruption, he mentioned.

Tripura Pragatishil Gramin Congress (TPGC) will also conduct a mass demonstration at Agartala on November 12 at Agartala on different ongoing issues like corruption, Tata Kalibari incident, Bhowmik said.

He criticized the CPIM government over issues of spurious-drug, atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order, underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees during the agitation. 

He also criticized the tight-lipped gesture of Chief Minister Manik  Sarkar over the increasing crimes and vowed to intensify party’s agitation across the state. He also urged the public to condemn the role of Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio.

The uninterrupted 21-year stint in power seems to have taken a toll on the financial transparency of the Left Front administration in Tripura. Corruption in implementation of rural development schemes continues unabated. There is a state government of Tripura eats up all the money which comes from the central government for development, he alleged.

The state government deep necked in corruption and CPIM is not the Government for the people. The Left Front do not care about peoples and there problems, they do not settle issues. He also criticizes the Left Front Government’s alternative policies and said that those are against common people.
