AGARTALA, Feb 10 (TIWN): A mass gathering has welcomed veteran CPI-M leader, former Minister, 40 years long MLA Badal Chowdhury at South Tripura today after High Court bailed out him in an alleged Politically motivated case under PWD for a construction work in 2008 and police failed to submit charge-sheet after 144 days yet. Addressing at the gathering in Belonia subdivision, South Tripura Badal Chowdhury said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) itself sounds as an evil-sign just like crows make ‘KAA…KAA…’ sounds which are considered not good sign and something bad will happen. Referring the sound, Badal Chowdhury said that this CAA sound itself tells people that India division in the name of religion can not be considered as a good sign. “We the people, Hindus, Muslims and all regions were together and will be together. Nobody can manipulate the brotherhood, harmony. Who did India’s partisan, I will not go for that debate today but that is true that after the partisan also, Muslims in India were more than the Muslims were in Pakistan and thus India formed as the greatest secular country", Badal Chowdhury said.

“Before this dictator Govt also, another Govt was ruling Tripura and it was the aligned Govt led by Congress and people unseated them in reply of violence. Today another aligned Govt of BJP and IPFT is here which is doing the same and people will give them a befitting reply”, said Badal Chowdhury.

“People are calling CAA as KAA…KAA… It is not a good sign.........”, Chowdhury said.

“This NRC, CAA, NPR all will cost Modi Govt by unseating it. People will throw BJP in the Bay of Bengal sea, Arabian sea”, he added.

“We are Indians. We are not only Hindus and Muslims and we will be together and take the country at highest success's level but today Modi and Amit Shah is collapsing the dream of Indians”, Chowdhury told the mass gathering.

He further slammed the BJP for creating violence since yesterday keeping CPI-M’s rally ahead. He warned BJP saying, South Tripura’s people are different and thus not to test their patience.

Addressing the gathering Ex-MP, Ex-Minister, GMP President Jitendra hit the BJP Govt over CAA, Unemployment, Privatization, Selling out National properties / companies etc. Choudhury said, just like Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini the end of Biplab Deb Govt to be in death and the end will be “suicide” and no other option.

The rally was organized as a part of CPI-M's young wings DYFI and TYF's 10 days long protest programme to "Save Constitution" from February 10 to February 20.
