AGARTALA, Jan 26 (TIWN): On the occasion of 71st Republic Day of India, Tripura High Court Chief Justice Akil Abdulhamid Kureshi donated blood.

The Chief Justice received massive appreciation from the people, as well as netizens have bid salute to him.

Tripura generally suffers from massive blood crisis, although the state keeps a high record in blood donations.

Today, along with the whole nation, Tripura also celebrated 71st Republic Day with full enthusiasm.Statewide colourful programmes conducted, tableaus were staged.

In Agartala Assam Rifles ground, in the presence of Ramesh Bais, the Governor of Tripura, Chief Minister Biplab Deb the programme was staged.All the political parties too celebrated this day across the state. Schools, offices, institutions hoisted national flags in the morning.  

Justice Akil Abdulhamid Kureshi is now Chief Justice of Tripura High Court. He is former Judge of Bombay High Court and Gujarat High Court.
