AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): The 21 Assam Rifles organised 'Run for Unity' under Fit India Movement at Swami Vivekananda Stadium, Agartala here on Friday.

The event was flagged off by Mr. Pinaki Samantha,  SP Traffic and 2IC R S Yadav, Second -in-Command 21 Assam Rifles.The event received tremendous response from the local populace and a total of 620 people  including youth, children & Jawans participated in 2.5 kilometres run. Besides distribution of Medals and Certificates.

The selfless efforts of Assam Rifles towards bringing fitness awareness in the society was appreciated by all. 

Assam Rifles organised ‘Run for Unity’ at Teliamura, Khowai District on 15 Jan 20. The event was aimed to promote ‘Fit India Movement and spreading message about Healthy Living, Peace and Unity.

52 locals including representatives from local administration and students from neighboring schools participated in the event. On culmination of run a lecture on importance of physical fitness and maintaining a healthy body was org for locals. The selfless efforts of Assam Rifles towards bringing fitness awareness in the society was appreciated by all.
