AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has expressed huge resentments against Tripura Govt’s negligence and biased attitude against custodial murder victim Sushanta Ghosh’s family as till now nobody was arrested in the case, neither suspended. Visiting West Agartala PS Custodial alleged murdered Sushanta Ghosh’s home at Lankamura, Manik Sarkar expressed surprises about how ‘Accused Police’ are investigating Custodial murder case, where their involvements were alleged. He also expressed his anger for no suspension of Police Officials yet. “How can investigation proceed when the accused police officials are sitting in the same police station ? How can accused Police investigate own case?†Manik Sarkar, Pabitra Kar and other CPI-M leaders visited the victim’s home. Congress leaders as Subal Bhowmik also visited the victim’s home.
All the opposition demanded either Judicial investigation and Human Rights led probe, but so far BJP has been strict to Magisterial investigation. Family members alleged, it is a dangerous murder and in no way, it was suicide.
"How a person's hand position can be like this in a suicide by hanging case?"Sushanta Ghosh's family members asked after his body was found in West PS Lockup and also severe spots were found on his body and a hand on his head. At the same time cloths were found inside his mouth.
Congress leader Subal Bhowmik accused BJP’s top layer’s involvement in the case. He also asked, when earlier in case of former Minister lockup photos goes viral, why not now the suicide photo goes viral ?
BJP is trying at best to stop family to go to High Court. The reasons of suspects are :
1) The arrest itself was without base,
2) Brutal murder inside police station.
The 38-year-old man, arrested in ATM hacking cases, allegedly committed suicide at a police station in West Tripura district on Sunday. But now allegations raising, he was never involved in any ATM hacking.
Tripura Human Rights' Organisation (THRO) demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident."We have the apprehension that it might be a case a custodial torture and death.
