AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Tripura High Court has issued a stay order today in Congress IT cell member Arindam Bhattacharjee’s police investigation, who was arrested on January 4 night over a facebook post.
Earlier on January 5, a lower court had rejected police remand plea in Arindam Bhattacharjee case. He was arrested on January 5 night from his home by West Agartala Police over an anti-BJP facebook post.
Police arrested him after one Victor Shome, who is BJP media cell head filed a case in West PS.
Arindam didn’t put any objectional thing in facebook, rather expressed concern of hacking if they call in BJP’s given missed call number in support of CAA 88662-88662 which is given even by various frauds, Netflix offer and beauty girls.
After the hearing, Congress leader Subal Bhowmik said that in last two months Arindam was called for at least 10 times with various issues and lastly arrested.
Advocate Arindam Bhattacharjee, Advocate Raghunath Mukharjee represented victim Congress Activist Arindam Bhattacharjee.
Also a notice was issued to the State Govt staying any type of action or arrest of Arindam Bhattacharjee.
