AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): CPI-M’s women wing placed a deputation to the SP West expressing concerns about increasing crimes against women.

Addressing media, MP Jharna Das said, “From 19 November 9th January whatever crimes happened in West District, we have submitted to the SP West. In few cases, no arrest was held. In case of 10 years girl rape one arrested whereas another still at ease. In kidnapping case, the accused was arrested from Delhi. However, across Tripura crimes against minor girls have been increased a lot”.

“We never saw earlier that in one day no many news items related to crime against women are coming”, she said.
