AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): With a press briefing, IPFT declared indefinite sit-in Demonstration starting from January 6 morning 10 am onwards. President of IPFT and Minister N C Debbarma will inaugurate the program.

Minister of Tribal Welfare Mebar Kumar Jamatia along with other MLA’s are going to be a part of the expedition. Prime demand behind organising the Sit-in demonstration is separate Tipraland for the indigenous people of the state.

IPFT comprising 33 divisional committees is going to organise the demonstration from the first day with alternative rotations of 3 committees each day. IPFT declared to carry out the demonstration in a peaceful and democratic way.

Along with the major demand for separate Tipraland according to Article 2 and 3 of the Indian Constitution, IPFT said. The party also demands eradication of CAA from Tripura state.
