AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): Ahead of BJP MLA Sudip Barman’s rally, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath claimed that under the BJP era crime and rapes have decreased in numbers claiming that when in CPI-M era 241 rapes happened, in BJP era 227 rapes occurred.

The data is absolutely clueless, although Police never disclosed the monthly rape-records in official crime updates.

Tripura witnessed how after raped by 10 rapists at Usha Bazar, a woman had to roam across 3 police stations but no police official registered FIR and also state has seen how when a minor girl raised a complaint of sexual harassment by Ramesh School teacher Subrata Chakraborty (also BJP spokesperson) but Headmistress instead of calling police gave judgement that nothing happened like that.

There are numberless unreported crimes and whether the report claimed by Ratanlal Nath has any ground or not, it’s totally clueless when a recent survey disclosed that in last 6 years 2019 was the highest  crime record holding state for Tripura.

Nath also gave various data from various sections and said, crime decreased asking BJP MLA, sacked Health Minister Sudip Barman to cancel his rally.

Noteworthy, BJP is so baseless without Congress leadership in Tripura that to counter Sudip Barman also, he had to depend on Ratanlal Nath, a top former Congress leader, played vital role as anti-Communist leader from his student life, whereas BJP’s ground is only  2 years politically inexperienced CM Biplab Deb, whose extreme insults to Sudip Barman led the main infighting inside BJP fueled by Pratima Bhowmik’s suggestion who controls Biplab Deb from his early political career.
