TIWN Dec 28, 2019
AGARTALA, Dec 28 (TIWN): “Cholo Paltai†actually became a success when the Administration became a slave of the BJP Government. The police Force which are said to be the base of law and order have changed themselves according to the demands of ruling government.
Putting a light on the incidents of 18th Dec 2019 and 24th Dec 2019, people of the state witnessed a cunning side of the Police Administration. It led the people of the state to draw a conclusion that no law and order situation prevails in the state. In broad day light when the Communist Party of India (Marxist), workers and supporters were excercising their democratic right of protest, BJP hooligans , the in-arm companions of our beloved CM Biplab Deb, attacked the party rally and gatherings in the presence of the uniformed Police officials. But the Police could be seen standing and enjoying the situation where the miscreants lathi charged and threw stones at the CPI(M) supporters and workers. The police did nothing to prevent the culprits from mobilising with diabolic motive of attack on the protest demonstration of a national political party. The police did not act duly to prevent the attackers.
Very genuinely the people of the state have started questioning the biased law and order situation in the state. The police have failed to play their impartial role in maintaining proper law and order.
Centering these two incidents, people of the state witnessed a phase of political terror, attack on the opposition political parties, no peace and tranquillity, impartial act of the police. The people of the state are barred to excercise their democratic right to protest, and on doing so are stated as anti- nationals.
