KAMALPUR, Nov. 4 (TIWN): One of the main accuseds of sensational Dilip Ghosh murder case absconding and later arrested by Ambassa police, Prantosh Das was sent to 14 days Jail Custody till 17th November next. After 4 days of Police Custody, Ambassa police today produced Prantosh in the Court of SDJM, Kamalpur. Then the SDJM sent him to 14 days’ Jail Custody which would end on 17th November next.

On 29^th October last Ambassa police, acting on a tip-off netted Prantosh from the house of some Shantu Modak of TRTC para where he was rented in the name of Enamul Haque. Police also seized arms and ammunition, cash of 48,500 rupees and contrabands from his room. Police booked him under 474 and 25(1B)(A) acts of IPC in the case 545/2014. But the SDJM had to grant him bail in this case and detained him in the Dilip Ghosh murder case. As resentment brewed among people about police’s mysterious activities and forwarding, so police added 25(1)C of Arms act in the same case and Prantosh was sent to 4 days’ police custody. When reproduced before the court today, Prantosh was sent to 14 days’ jail custody.
