No farmers’ compensation to crop damages in Tripura alleged

AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): Tripura farmer have demanded compensations for the heavy losses they are undergoing due to the cyclones happened in the current FY. But so far the Agriculture Ministry is silent over farmers’ plight and demands.
Farmers told media that even though Govt’s support is on the upper layers, but practically nothing they are getting.
“Govt must compensate farmers after such rains and disasters”, said a farmer.
Another farmer added that in coming days prices of vegetables will increase more.
Hectors of hectors crop fields left damaged due to the unexpected rain and cyclonic wave.
