UDAIPUR, Dec 14 (TIWN): A housewife was set on fire after physical tortures in Udaipur, alleged by victim family. The silent , negative role of Tripura women commission too encouraging the criminals to a great extent.With the number of rapes , killing and other sort of violence taken place recently , Tripura is now in a position to be crowned as number one in India in the sphere of violence against women.

On Friday night a housewife was seriously injured when her husband and mother-in-law set fire on her .She was screaming in agony when her neighbour came to rescue her and called her family members.Her brother told that , after two months of marriage they started torturing her both mentally and physically every now and then.And finally ,on Friday they set her on fire.

The family members took her in to District hospital where she is fighting for her life in severe pain in the hospital bed. Her mother broke down into tears in the hospital.
