KAILASAHAR, Nov 3 (TIWN) : In a mysterious incident 15,00,000 rupees of Tripura Gramin Bank’s Dolugaon Branch looted in broad daylight around 11 am from the personal car of the Branch Manager today at Kailasahar. The controversial statements of the Manager and the eye-witnesses made the police suspicious of Manager’s involvement in the incident.

Today around 11 am, Mr. Partha pratim Banik, the Branch Manager of Tripura Gramin Bank, Dolugaon branch took a cash amount of 15,00,000 rupees from the United Bank of India. After keeping the bag on the back seat of his personal car, when he was about to sit on the driver’s seat and start the car, then he raised a hue and cry that the entire money was stolen. Immediately, police rushed to the spot and enquired the matter. Partha Pratim told the investigating police that, he kept the bag with the money on the backseat but kept the windows open.

And probably when he was moving to sit on the driver’s seat , then some miscreants had stolen the bag.

But the local shop-keepers and eye-witnesses told a completely different story. One of the eye-witness, a shop-keeper Sadhana Malakar told police that, the car of the Manager was parked in front of the Axis Bank’s ATM counter and then a youth came and took the bag from the car. After a while the Manager raised a hue and cry coming from somewhere claiming that, the entire amount was stolen. Police is looking into the matter with a close eye on the activities of the Manager.
