Agartala, November 3 (TIWN): Ma Anandamayee Vidyapeeth, one among the private nursery schools in the capital of Tripura has come under scanner over the case of under-privileged salary and wages paid to its employees, when a ruling of High Court of Tripura reviewed the payment structure of the nursery school and advised the school trust to make revised payment along with pending sum since the case was filed back in May 2012 by Ma Anandamayee Vidhyapeeth Trust here today.

Sambhu Namah representing Labour Union of state spoke about the deprived status of the staff of school and boasted the High Court ruling that has favoured the petition placed by Union, which had been fighting against exploitation of skilled and unskilled staffs of the school. The Labour Union has warned the school trust twice for implementing revised pay-scale to its employees after listening to the grievances of the employees of Ma Anandamayee Vidyapeeth back in 2012.

But the trust controlling the management of the school has rather opted to file a case against Labour Union keeping its staffs under deprived salaried structure. The ruling that emerged today has boomeranged for the school trust to make a lump sum amount of payment to be made to its teachers, clerical staffs and helpers now.

Its mentionable here that the Headmaster or Teacher-in-Charge of the school was paid a paltry sum of Rupees 2,250 every month and other teachers were also paid the same amount of salary. Clerical staffs also used to receive Rupees 2,250 and the helpers receive an amount far low as Rupees 1,710 every month.

The current strength of employees and staffs of the school counts to twenty-one that include teachers and helpers in total, but the school shall now need to face a deep financial crisis to fulfill the ruling of the case by High Court where due amount of Rupees 16 lakhs now remain a pending amount to be paid to the workers in addition with their drawn salaries from now onwards.
