AGARTALA, Dec 10 (TIWN): After TET-1 and TET-2 results were announced, Tripura Education Minister said that exam results are not good as only 1,194 Candidates passed out in Tripura-TET out of 1.15 lakhs.Addressing media Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “There are complex problems in Tripura about teachers crisis. On the one side teachers’ shortage are existing and also 10323 teachers don’t have professional degrees as B.Ed. Due to this, we asked Central Govt for one-time relaxation and Central Govt too permitted for that. Central Govt directed that after passing out, their TET Certificates’ validity will be till 2021, 31st March and those who have professional degree their TET Certificates’ validity will be for 7 years. After receiving permission for relaxation, TRBT conducted a test in October 20, 2019 (Paper-1) and October 26, 2019 (Paper-2)â€.
“For TET-1 total 76,477 candidates appealed and appeared 65047 candidates. TRBT announced results but only 428 students could pass out. Result is bad ! This exam was to identify teachers who will teach (Class-1 to Class-5)”, said Nath.
“In case of TET-2 (for Class-6 to 8, Graduate teachers) total 58341 candidates appealed, 50403 candidates appeared in test and only 766 candidates passed out”, said Ratanlal Nath.
“It means total 1,34,000 candidates appealed for TET-1 and TET-2 , appeared 1,15,000 candidates but only 1,194 candidates passed out. This is an important issue to know for the state’s people”, he said.
