AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): Reacting over BJP’s pre poll fake promises given to the people, Politburo member Brinda Karat said even Govt data speaks the real facts. MGNREGA mandays which were earlier 88% now dropped at 35%.

Brinda Karat who is now in Tripura was answering media queries. She raised tax issues. She asked, how a Govt can increase Water-Tax from Rs. 40 to Rs. 200 ?

“When we were in power, we may had committed mistakes but our ideology was only to work for the people and serve the people. We did this amid economic crisis situations. But the BJP came with so much of JMPLA-bazi with promises like 7th Pay Commission, Rs. 2000 allowance, MGNREGA works. What happened to those promises ?”, said Brinda Karat.

“At the same time there are attempts of generate hatred between tribes and non-tribes. A girl is not safe outside. What is happening ? A peaceful Tripura is successfully converted into a loot-maydaan. Public are realizing everything and we are determine to create a peaceful Tripura again”, Karat said.
