Accused convicted in North Tripura in robbery case, sent to jail

AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): On 28-11-19, the Ld. Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Dharmanagar, North Tripura (Sri A. Debroy) convicted one accused namely Lalsandama Reang (29) S/O Sri Honairam Reang of Balidum, PS- Dharmanagar U/S 394 IPC and sentenced to suffer R.I for 04 (Four) years with a pay of fine Rs. 3000/-, I.D to further suffer R.I for 02 (Two) months. This refers to Dharmanagar PS Case No. 2015DMN081, Dated 31-08-15 U/S 394 IPC.

The case was investigated by SI Prasanta Das of Dharmanagar PS (Now under West District). During investigation I.O of the case had taken all efforts to complete investigation on priority basis. Based on evidences on record, the accused person was arrested and forwarded to the Ld. Court. On completion of investigation, I.O had submitted the Charge-Sheet on 30-09-15 IPC U/S 394 IPC, against 03 arrested accused persons namely (1) Sri Lalsandama Reang (24) S/O Sri Honairam Reang (2) Sri Tajuram Reang (20) S/O Sri Briksha Reang (3) Sri Dharmendra Reang (20) S/O Sri Maina Roy Reang all are Balidum, Anandabazar, PS- Dharmanagar and 01 absconded accused person namely (4) Chandra Reang S/O Sri Sarat Chandra Reang of Balidum – PS- Dharmanagar to face trial in the open court of law.

On completion of the trial, Sri A. Debroy, Ld. Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Dharmanagar, North Tripuraconvicted the accused as stated above. Ld. APP Smt. Banani Sharma has conducted the case as Assistant Public Prosecutor.
