AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb, who is known for continuous reshuffling of bureaucrats, this time has slashed departments from none other than his favourite Kumar Alok, indeed in a shocking move.

Reportedly, the Home Dept has been slashed from the Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Alok and also Alok is going in a long-leave then.

Along with Home Dept, GA (P&D) dept is also curbed, whereas now Alok to take care of GA (C&C) and Additional Chief Secretary’s post.

It was Kumar Alok, who acted in Biplab Deb’s support when power tussle erupted between Biplab Deb and former Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman and the later lost his dept in that row. On that time Barman called him "Black Sheep" of the administration. 

On the other side, as U Venkateswarlu is going to take retirement on 30th November, new Chief Secretary of Tripura will be Manoj Kumar.
