AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): During his visit at slain police officer Durga Chandra Hrangkhawl’s family, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has recalled what DGP A K Sukla told media after the death of brave officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl, who was killed by drug smugglers of Sonamura on Thursday.
Meeting the family members, Manik Sarkar said that the honest police officer had to give his life and if Govt/ administration display any kind of weakness before the criminals then it will encourage criminals more.
It was on Thursday night, 3 Phensedyl smuggling convoy circled honest police officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl and murdered him by overrunning vehicle over slain officer.
Manik Sarkar along with Ex-Minister Ratan Bhowmik, MLA Sudhan Das today visited slain police officer late Durga Chandra Hrankhawl’s home, when stated so.
On November 23, after paying tribute to Durga Chandra Hrangkhawl, addressing media, DGP A K Sukla said that this incident can not be mark as an accident only, rather it is an intentional murder of police officer. DGP said, “I am personally very sad because I know that officer personally very well and also during my Karamchara visit, I saw him, met him”.
