AGARTALA, Nov 21 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has met Khayerpur BJP led violence attacked people where at least 8 CPI-M members were injured critically on November 17.
Addressing media, Sarkar said that he was in Delhi when the incident took place but heard about this brutal attacks on common men, women.
Sarkar said that such attacks are nothing but pure reflections of BJP’s weakness after losing mass supports.
“Party office is already closed by force and after a normal meeting and gathering, such attacks took place”, said Sarkar.
The incident took place at Khayerpur after CPI-M conducted a meeting at there.
The sudden attack included stone pelting, direct attack on bus with sticks by organized BJP’s bike riding hooligans. Like “showers” the stones were being thrown, said the bus driver. Injured people were immediately hospitalized.
A woman’s ear was cut and teeth were broken in that attack.
