AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): The Assam Rifles conducted a workshop cum lecture on Women Empowerment in conjunction with Tripura Aadivasi Mahila Samiti and Radhamandhav Women Club of Tripura for the locals and families of the Assam Rifles at Kunjaban Auditorium on 16 Nov 19.

Large number of ladies including the president and other important office bearers of the NGOs participated in the workshop. 2. The workshop was conducted to enlighten the ladies about the importance of empowered women for the overall development of our society.

The challenges faced by our women and ways and means to overcome them were highlighted during the workshop. 3. The humane and selfless gesture of Assam Rifles was acknowledged and appreciated by everyone.
