AGARTALA, Nov 1 ( TIWN ) : Biplab Deb's Govt keeping the 'Saddam era' alive in Tripura, attacking the media houses who are bold enough to deny bootlicking of them and expose their wrong doings infront of public.
Deb's Govt is trying to supress the Fourth pillar of democracy by filing false cases, attacking on their family, giving threats by taking the journalists in police Station by their bootlicker 'Mafia' police.
Tripurainfoway. Com Editor NRI Saumen Sarkar received massive threats from the Govt. Tried to ban the website after exposing the involvement of 'Crime queen' Pratima Bhowmik in her sister-in-law Chabi Debnath's murder case. But TIWN won the case against Govt in the High-court.
Not only the threats, Tripura police have conveyed that if he dared to visit Tripura, he would be detained under the national security act. They even harassed his old parents in their Agartala residence without his presence.
There are five media houses that came under BJP's red eyes - 1. Channel DinRaat 2.Tripura Infoway 3. Daily Desher kotha 4.Mrinalini ENN
Three of them are already shut down whereas Daily Desher kotha's circulation were abandoned and Infoway's social media page and website were been tried to block. Such Media-bullying acts by Deb's BJP Govt are condemned statewide.
When the voices of common people have been suppressed under threats and terror, rising problems like unemployment, increasing crime activities across the whole state, poor economy have been silenced under power, they are trying to choke the voice of Fourth pillar of democracy i.e Media by making them their obedient with lots of money or by attacking severally to shut them up. People are spitting on such brutal acts of JUMLA Govt. Nationwide condemning has been started as they stood by Tripura media's freedom.
