AGARTALA, Nov 1 (TIWN): BJP Govt which has recorded with huge numbers of scams from taxation to PWD road construction, gross misuse of Govt funds in luxurious life-style of Chief Minister, with unnecessary escorts and renovation of CM’s quarter and Ministers’ quarter, gym installation, TET question-paper leak-allegation, Northeast Youth Festival deals without tender and many more has also failed to fulfill its Vision Document’s various promises including 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year led Tripura’s top position in unemployment. In this situation when public support is at massive down, protests across with economic fall and deprivation, terminations, BJP Govt pushed a politically motivated case against Left Govt’s eminent former Minister Badal Choudhury where no personal transaction with Badal Choudhury could be shown. However, honest officials former Chief Secretary Y P Singh is too targeted in the case amid he maintained a spotless record holding career. Tripura is undergoing shocks to see Police brutality, evil way of treating former Minister Badal Choudhury who was taken out by force from ILS hospital in hospital dress to the West Agartala PS.

But unfortunately, although High Court rejected the bail petition of heart attack suffered Badal Choudhury but overlooked Police’s brutality.

Ex-Judges, Legal experts, this High Court order can be easily canceled by Supreme Court as this case doesn’t stand legally.

BJP Govt’s brutality against Badal Choudhury, OC West Subrata Chakraborty, IO Ajay Das led Police’s torture and mental harassment to Badal Choudhury remained unnoticed by the High Court today and an unexpected judgement came rejecting bail-petition of Badal Choudhury whereas even retired Justice Asish Pal too has condemned Police’s brutality and asked whether Court given permission to keep Badal Choudhury in Police custody that amid his illness, he had to be treated like that ?

Also Asish Pal said in CRPC 437 IPC permits bail of ill persons even in murder cases. He also demanded OC-Subrata Chakraborty’s suspension. After the hearing, advocates of Badal Choudhury said, “The justice has adopted a 3rd line while rejecting the bail-plea saying “Rules of Executing Business” but there is no mention about it in the FIR and in other places. Also there was no mention of it in the Advocate General’s argument and this was the only issue for rejecting bail petition. Now we have to see the whole order and think about the future steps”.

This statement came after yesterday hearing was completed amid massive brutalities were going on in the state.

On Wednesday, hitting Biplab Deb led BJP Govt for dragging CPI-M former Minister Badal Choudhury from ILS hospital to Police Station, eminent advocate Bikas Bhattacharjee has called the BJP Govt as an “Ashobhyo” Govt (in Bengali Ashobhyo means uncivilized).

After the hearing at High Court was completed, Bikas Bhattacharjee said, “Since the beginning, we are saying, there is no criminal case against Badal Choudhury and the way they are treating him, a civilized (Sobhyo) Govt will never do that. This present Govt is just uncivilized (Ashobhyo)”.

“We have complained to the High Court but what the High Court can do now ? An ill person dragged from hospital bed to Police station, this is just human”, Bhattacharjee said.

Today during hearing of Badal Choudhury’s bail petition in the High Court, he was dragged from hospital bed in hospital dress and put into lockup and soon Badal Choudhury’s health fell further and immediately taken to GB hospital. In ILS Police also tortured Badal Choudhury and a lady police officer allegedly has slapped Badal Choudhury’s wife.

The whole issue was followed by a politically motivated FIR was filed based on Rs. 600 crore’s alleged scam asking why 10% extra was paid to outsider companies in those constructions which included bridge, buildings but the record was revealed which is clearly stating that all payments were decided in the Cabinet meeting, alter approved PAC.

In 2008, 23rd June Finance Dept called a meeting, where Law Secretary, Senior Secretaries from various depts as industry etc stay as members of work advising committee and their decisions are highest. There is no right of Minister , although Badal Choudhury observed the meeting and in that meeting 10% extra payment issue was discussed.

Then new Govt came and new Public Accounts Committee was formed. All matters went to the Public Accounts Committee. The committee examined all works till 2013-14.
