AGARTALA, Oct 24 (TIWN): A fraudster named Chandan Rabi Das, S/O-Bikram Rabi Das was arrested by Airport police for forging BJP MLA Krishnadhan Das’s signature for SC loan application. Police suspected that he is connected with a statewide mafia-gang operating whole fraud-network to loot the public funds and to defame the BJP Govt’s image.

Also illegally carrying Govt seal was pasted on those papers.

According to Kalamer Shakti newspaper, on Wednesday fake papers were found in Bamutia block which were signed by fraud Chandan Rabi Das by forging MLA Krishnadhan Das’s signature.

The issue was raised first in SB sub-committee meeting when authorities called for a review meeting.  Verification of papers were going on in that audit and this heinous crime revealed.

Generally to take loan from any corporation, one has to take local MLA’s signature in the application form.

Accordingly, Chandan Rabi Das too submitted papers with signature of the local MLA Krishnadhan Das, but his signature generated doubt of duplicity. MLA and the members of the sub-committee immediately checked the papers.

Although the signature looked okay, but the seal was put on the name, which strengthened the doubt further.

It was suspected that a deep intrigue is hidden behind this incident and action was necessitated.

Immediately Chandan Rabi Das was called in the block office by a Panchayat member.

On the other side, Airport Police were informed and then when caught by police and asked by everyone, Chandan Rabi Das accepted that he forged the signature of the MLA, although the network which he runs for such illegal activities, police are investigating on that.

Then he was detained by police and taken to Airport Police Station.

MLA Krishnadhan Das has asked police to look after the issue as Chandan Rabi Das is nodoubtedly connected with big conspiracy gang which is working sharply to destroy the Govt’s image.

The MLA said, “Due to such frauds across, the real beneficiaries will never get justice”.

This incident created resentment, turmoil among the locals. All demanded strict punishment to such people who are looting public rights by criminal activities.
