AGARTALA, Oct 24 (TIWN): CPI-M former Minister, current MLA Badal Choudhury’s anticipatory bail petition was cancelled as Police have shown him "arrested" and thus the total case was cancelled as he was arrested on October 21st night. Advocate Arindam Bhattacharjee said that a fresh petition has been filed for bail of Badal Choudhury.That application was accepted and next hearing to be pronounced on October 24 that is today. In the mean time, Police did not stop to harass Choudhury whereas Badal Choudhury who already suffered from brain stroke, is now admitted again in a private hospital after suffered from Cardiac arrest. After medical analysis, Govt Doctors have confirmed that Badal Choudhury has undergone two mild-strokes, certifying the MRI report.The doctors actually went to give him discharge order but they were confirmed about Badal Choudhury’s heart attack incident as true. Badal Choudhury's wife said that Badal Choudhury had undergone surgeries and also a brain stroke patient. However, as the previous petition (for anticipatory bail) was cancelled so a fresh was filed in High Court (for bail of arrested Badal Choudhury) today which has been accepted. The next hearing is on October 24.

On the other side, Police statement reportedly told Court that Badal Choudhury's health is better, whereas in reality ILS hospital has ordered brain MRI of Badal Choudhury.

On being asked by media whether, Badal Choudhury will be produced before the court or not, Advocate Arindam Bhattacharjee said, “That I can’t say right now as according to legal process within 24 hours one arrested person has to be produced before the court. Now as his condition is critical and doctor asked for MRI. In this situation, if Badal Choudhury is produced before the court then it’s up to the investigators. What can we say ?”

What Badal Choudhury’s wife told media at the court ? “He was not in home for many days and thus didn’t take medicine and now his health condition is critical. He didn’t talk to anyone, unable to eat. His situation is critical because he had undergone surgeries and also brain stroke. Last time after he stopped a medicine after surgery he suffered from brain stroke and now also he didn’t take that medicine. I talked to doctor. Doctor has prescribed brain-MRI now and for that I had to talk to doctor. From there only, I have rushed here (High Court)”.
