‘FIR against Badal Choudhury is to divert public attention from BJP Govt’s failures’ : CPI-M

AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): FIR against former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury is an attempt to divert public attention from Govt’s failures, anti-people decision which have recently fueled public resentments.

The statement came from CPI-M after FIR was lodged against Tripura CPI-M former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury at West Agartala Police Station with Case No-251/19 on Sunday. FIR was lodged against few retired Govt employees also. Former PWD Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik was produced before the court today, who was arrested.

The charge against Badal Choudhury was imposed is that in various constructions including road, bridge, Govt quarters Rs. 600 crores were invested by the then Govt but 10% extra was given to the construction agencies.

CPI-M has alleged this is nothing but BJP’s intrigue and frustration of exposing fake promises which it done before the election, erupting massive resentments among the common men.

In a statement CPI-M State Committee member Haripada Das said, the Left Govt always worked with transparency but now in aim to malign Govt’s image the BJP Govt is playing a deep intrigue which is reflection of BJP’s anti-people decisions led public resentments generated frustrations.

CPI-M also stated this is an attempt to divert public attention amid Govt’s massive failure in each field.

Badal Choudhury since 18 months of BJP Govt, has been targeted by various agencies including CBI, Vigilance, CID and now finally police.
