AGARTALA, Oct 13 (TIWN): 6 youths carrying brown sugars were arrested by AD Nagar Police today.

They were caught by locals and police in a joint attempt whereas total 15 boxes of brown sugar were found with them. Police said that whether they are the smugglers or consumers it will be known by investigation but from them many informations can be gathered.

Police have lodged cases against them under NDPS. Tomorrow they will be produced before the court.

The arrested youths have been identified as : 1)Rani Pal, 2) Sagar Saha, 3) Mantu Pal, 4) Subal Lodh, 5) Akash Roy, 6) Chandan Shil.

They were roaming in the market and local people had allegation against them for long.

However, police directly did not catch them according to report, rather few local youths caught them and claimed that brown sugar were found with them. Now what the accused would say it’s to be seen or any intrigue were designed against them, it is yet to come out clearly.
