GANDACHERA (Tripura), Oct 13 (TIWN): A housewife was allegedly raped in Gandachara whereas after 72 hours passed no FIR was lodged against the accused as he is a BJP leader of that area.

The incident took place at Gandacherra’s Nairupara village on Thursday.

The accused has been identified as Laxmikanta Sarkar, a leading BJP figure at there.

The victim who was recovered by locals in clothless condition from a jungle can not speak by born. She was taken to a jungle and allegedly raped by Laxmikanta Sarkar, later recovered by common men, but even after her husband went to the police station with the complaints so far no FIR was lodged and police allegedly involved in the propaganda of there was no rape but in first 73 hours police even didn’t lodge FIR and medical tests were thus denied.

35 years victim with speaking disability is mother of 3 children.

Local people have demanded immediate action against Laxmikanta Sarkar.

Earlier in same way Agartala’s 3 police stations denied FIR against 10 rape accused persons under political pressures in a gang-rape incident at Usha Bazar which hit the whole state. Later after protests, after 24 hours FIR was lodged and accused were arrested, but it was fueled by Victim-Blaming game by BJP women leaders themselves.
