SantirBazar / Birchandra Manu, Oct 12 (TIWN): In another barbaric attack allegedly by ruling BJP activists at Birchandra Manu, many CPI-M supporters were injured at South Tripura’s Belonia sub-division. One Subhod Majumder 80 yrs old was attacked by BJP allegedly in front of police who is now fighting for life at GB Hospital while going to BC Manu to observed martyrs day.

 According to source, the BJP activists who were involved in the violence are : 

1.Pintu Mitra S/o Suresh Mitra of Takmacharra.

2.Priyalal pal S/o late Narayan pal of BC Manu.

3.Samir Chakraborty S/o Latev Ram Kanai Chakraborty of BC Manu.

4.Ajoy Debbarma of BC Manu.

5.Sunil Debbarma S/O Durga Mohan  of BC Manu.

6.Abhi Das S.O Swpan Das of BC Manu

7.Ajit Debnath S/O Late Jogendra Debnath of BC Manu.

8. Prabir Datta S/O Dinesh Datta of Takmacharra

9.Mahabu MOg of Manu

10.Suman Debnath S.O Nikhil Debnath of Betaga.

The CPI-M supporters were going to homes after completing a party programme at Bir Chandra Manu of Belonia. This is the day known as martyrs day for CPI-M and also known historically as Bir Chandra Manu massacre which killed masses in 1988 in this same day under the Congress Govt.

Today it was 32^nd year of that brutal massacre.

CPI-M state committee has condemned the attack via press releases. Among all injured persons 4 were hospitalized, said CPI-M.
