AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has charged the BJP Govt for creating havoc in the capital city Agartala in the name of ‘fictitious’, ‘imaginary’ carnival celebration.
Manik Sarkar said, due to this carnival and imaginary celebrations and get-together, pregnant women, patients suffered at their best.
“This Durga puja turned a suffering for the common men, specially poor who were deprive of their wages throughout the puja, but on yesterday in that carnival celebration they occupied all routes of the city, caused heavy sufferings”, said Sarkar.
“This puja in reality passed without any happiness in people’s lives. Since 4 pm in the name of carnival, a drama was set till night 10 pm. To inaugurate the programme National General Secretary of the BJP rushed to Tripura but did he ask how is the situation of Tripura right now ? No, he would not, might have left in today’s flight”, said Deb.
Manik Sarkar also said that CM Biplab Deb’s claim of increased numbers of Durga puja is nothing but the CM’s ‘imagination’ and ‘fantasy’ added, “Everything is happening in this state is based on fantasy and imagination".
