Agartala, October 29 (TIWN): Tripura Government Employees’ Association (TGEA) focused on increasing head counts of the organization through students’ involvement during 1st convention of ITI Local Committee in state here today.

Alarmingly, above 90 percent of the students were pulled into the press meet out the total number of participants gathering in the programme, which observed the presence of state Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty either.

Quite questionably the points could be raised on the subject for engagement of more students from different educational institution of the state in an association that is supposed to be controlled by employees and staffs of Tripura government.

The pinching point may get overlooked on several grounds on why most the seats in the meeting were occupied by students, which should have been filled with workers of Tripura state government. This could be another political gimmickry designed by pro-government employees directing the authority of the organization.

TGEA should have conducted a marking convention, if the meet was run in an impartial manner to inject more government employees or staffs into it. But the step has now placed the association in wrong foot with involvement of students overfilling the gathering.

Such an outlook can dart the question on TGEA authority on whether they are functioning smoothly without indirect pat from head honchos of the Leftist government in state. The blatant display of students’ gathering in maximum number during a meet organized by TGEA has made the podium open in dramatic condition to pinpoint how manipulation has begun public gatherings in state.

However, it is mentionable here that a camp was organized for blood donation, eye donation and posthumous body donation.
