AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): After a long delay by BJP Govt in clearing dues to Flyover Construction Company NCC (Nagarjuna Costructions Comapany), finally Agartala Flyover inauguration brought huge joy among masses. From CPI-M to BJP supporters, all credited Manik Sarkar's CPI-M Govt and ex-PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury for success in implementing Flyover project in spite of politically motivated hurdles put up by BJP Govt in past 18 months. Also BJP Govt failed in inviting ex-CM Manik Sarkar and ex-PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury in Flyover inauguration, rather chosen only specially abled students from Narshingarh Blind School. Flyover inauguration received massive welcome from masses as without any delay public rushed over the flyover as soon as the flyover was inaugurated, Craze for Flyover proved the vision of previous CPI-M Govt worked in the right direction.

From the beginning, the present  BJP Govt has caused statewide panic in lack of maintenance as road-ways are suffering form lack or poor maintenance quality. Referring the flyover construction, former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury said that even though BJP Govt is imposing various fabricated cases against the previous Govt’s Ministers but these are matters of not pains but rather to feel proud that because the CPI-M Govt was involved in various construction works, developmental works due to which BJP Govt is able to order investigation.

On yesterday public, specially youths’ selfie point became the flyover. In facebook, social media vehiculars were going live while driving on the flyover. Many youths stopped bikes to take selfies on the flyover. Rushes of autos, small vehicles, bikes were witnessed from the point period of inauguration by specially able children of the state.

Talking to Executive Engineer Ratan Chowdhury, he informed media, "There is no confusion about the quality of the construction works, neither have any legal obligation and because there is no obligation, so this flyover is opened. It will help to reduce the everyday traffic jam, took almost 3 years to end the project".

This 300 crore’s flyover project met controversy after BJP Govt alleged corruption in this construction work by PWD and a blacklisted company.

Indeed, BJP Govt led Vigilance Team has summoned former PWD Minister Badal Choudhury who challenged the investigation and said Tripura’s engineers are pride, not subjected for harassments because they have always delivered quality works. Vigilance team also summoned former Secretaries, Chief Secretary who took retirement already.

On August 22, after summoned, interrogated by Vigilance team, Badal Choudhury referring P.Chidambaram’s arrest said, “If with political reason, the Govt is behind me I don’t care, what can be done”? Earlier on August 5, he was called by CID in this same Flyover construction works.

Then, the Govt handed over it to CSIR, CRRA which are now same organizations under central Govt.

On 21st July, 2018 subjected to structural safety and safety audit report, but the report came in favour of flyover construction, certifying the flyover for good quality work.

Pouring water on all controversies, this flyover resulted into blessing for the common men and opened on the eve of Durga puja.

Flyover inauguration is a massive defeat of  BJP Govt as 18 months old BJP Govt failed to find any corruption in Flyover construction, neither could find any wrongdoings by Ex-Minister Badal Chowdhury.
