AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): As crime against women spiked up in Tripura recently and various heinous crime incidents instigated protests across the state, Tripura Women Commission chairperson Barnali Goswami today has visited victims’ houses including Udaipur Khilpara and Bagma areas where two housewives recently allegedly killed brutally.
In case of Khilpara incident which was suspected as gang-rape and murder, Gowasmi has taken the dead victim’s name giving a clue that it might not be a rape incident, as according to SC’s guidelines rape-victim’s names also have to be secured.
She also visited the local police stations and gathered informations and details about the cases. Along with Barnali Goswami, Adi Jamatia, was present during the visit. They also met, Somen Acharjee, the OC of R K Pur PS.
