AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Slamming the BJP Govt for its soft attitude for the criminals, DYFI Tripura Secretary Nabarun Deb said, due to free hands given to the criminals crimes are spiking up in Tripura.

Deb further slammed BJP MP Pratima Bhowmik for showering sympathy for the Rape accused by accusing the gang-rape victim.

Nabarun Deb said, if such statements maligning image of rape-victim is delivered even before investigation is completed, what public can expect ? If Govt representatives attitudes towards victims remain like this, crimes will never decrease.

He further hit the BJP on Sabroom housewife rape incident, where a BJP leader allegedly has raped a housewife.

In last 1-week rape incidents have been reported from Agartala, Teliamura, Udaipur, Kailsahahar, Sabroom.
