RAPE-HORRORS across Tripura : One more minor girl raped, thrown on road at Kailashahar sub-division

AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): One more minor girl was raped brutally in a jungle, thrown at road in Tripura horrifying the public further, when the state is already undergoing trauma of developed ‘Rape Culture’ since 24th September when a woman was gang-raped at Usha Bazar. The fresh, horrifying incident was reported at Kailashahar’s Irani Police Station area (Under Unakoti Dist). Police have arrested a youth named Mujib Ali in this incident’s connection. Horrifying rape incidents one after one shook the state, although could not move the Women Commission amid ruling leader’s “Victim Blaming” trend trend is hitting the public-trust on the Govt. In last 1-week four critical rape incidents were reported in the state, questioning on the law and order issue. Parents are afraid to send their girls alone outside with deteriorating law and order and suffocating, unsafe environment for women. Tripura's local news channels 'News Vanguard', 'Daily Desher Katha' and few more media have confirmed, reported the rape incident.

Ahead of Durga puja festival which symbolizes “Devi Bandana” that is worshiping the women-power, one after one gang-rape incidents are horrifying the state and ruling BJP party’s woman leader like Pratima Bhowmik started blaming the victims.

Tripura’s law and order is in a serious stage and critical for women with 240 rapes, 117 minor girls’ rapes, 3 murders after rapes’ cases were registered from 2018 April to 2019 July month.

Teliamura : On yesterday (Monday) in Teliamura one more rape incident has been reported, crossing the layers of public tolerance. Police have arrested two persons 1) Surajit Debbarma (24) and 2) Arvind Debbarma (23) in this incident. The rape victim told media that these two persons attacked her at around 4 am and pressed her mouth and then raped brutally. The incident took place on very early morning Sunday (4 am). She did not complain on that time but in morning after she complained, police have arrested both of them after the FIR was lodged. The two accused persons have been produced before the court today and police have appealed for police-remand to the court.

Udaipur : This incident which is now hitting the common men took place at Udaipur. This time, the victim was killed after gang-rape, which has shuttered the voice of the victim. This report already came in local newspapers in Tripura. The incident was reported from Khilpara, Udaipur, Gomati District.Clothless dead body of a housewife was recovered in the house after her husband returned home in the evening.Hearing his screaming, local people rushed to the home, informed police. The body has been sent for post mortem and the investigation has been started. Before post mortem report, police however has not confirm it as gang-rape incident. The relatives, deceased person’s maternal parents have informed media that she was guaranteed raped and killed.  

Students came in massive protest against this “Rape Culture” developed in the criminal dominated society.

Tripura was yet to overcome the shocks of horrifying gang-rape incident at the Usha Bazar when this inhuman gang-rape took place in Udaipur, Teliamura, Kailashahar.

Agartala (Usha Bazar): On September 24 another woman was kidnapped, gang-raped at Agartala Usha Bazar but 3 police stations denied to lodge FIR allegedly after pressure came from a ruling MLA. The incident disclosed to media after almost 24 hours when the survived victim was under treatment in critical situation at the TMC hospital.Already politically motivated statements blaming the “Victim” as conspiracy against Govt is coming from the ruling BJP.
