Increasing fuels prices continue to haunt public, causing massive commodity prices : Petrol price shoots up at Rs. 75.02, Diesel Rs. 69.48 in Agartala on Monday

AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): The increasing petrol prices has been continuing the haunt the public everyday. The petrol price here in Tripura on Monday shot up at Rs. 75.02 whereas the Diesel price rate is Rs. 69.48 per litre Compared to Yesterday Petrol price changed by 8 Paise and diesel 10 paise per litre. The increasing fuel prices which are causing distressed across the markets, report says, although Tripura is a Northeast state right now suffering due to massive fuel prices. Indeed today’s petrol price is higher than Delhi’s petrol price is Rs. 74.42. The major concern due to petrol price hike is, it is continuously increasing the commodity prices throughout the month.As per Indian Oil's daily fuel pricing formula, consumers will have to shell out Rs 74.34 for a litre of petrol in Delhi today, while they will have to pay Rs 67.24 for a litre of diesel. Things are worse in Mumbai with Rs 80 per litre for petrol and Rs 70.55 per litre for diesel.

In Chennai and Kolkata, petrol prices have reached Rs 77.28 and Rs 77.03, respectively, while diesel rates are Rs 71.09 and Rs 69.66, respectively.

A major cause of Petrol Price hike : The increase in petrol and diesel price has come following the drone attack on Saudi oil facilities. The attack jolted global oil markets, disabling around 5 per cent of the global supply, after which fuel prices have seen a significant rise in India. India depends on Saudi Arabia for a fifth of its oil imports. It buys around 2,00,000 tonnes of LPG every month from Saudi Arabia.
