AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has paid tribute to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay on his birth anniversary.

Various functions have been organised in different parts of the country to mark the occasion. In Tripura also, senior BJP leaders and party workers will participate in several public welfare initiatives including Swachhta campaign, plastic free India campaign and environmental protection initiatives to celebrate the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.

Ministers, MPs, MLAs, BJP  office bearers and party workers are taking part in birthday celebration across the state.

Deendayal Upadhyaya was an Indian thinker of RSS ideology, and former leader of the political party Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the forerunner of Bharatiya Janata Party.
