EVM malfunctioning were reported in 5 polling booths in Tripura

AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): In the Badharghat Assembly Byelection, EVM malfunctioning was reported in at least 5 polling booths.
However, over all the Election conducted peacefully, although a major section of voters failed to cast votes out of alleged threatening chased by ruling party activists.
Attack on polling agents of CPI-M were reported and in few places CPI-M polling agents allegedly pushed out of the booths.
Also, BJP candidate Mimi Majumder was seen threatening police officials inside 200 metres of the polling booths, which went viral since the poll started.
Tripura election was conducted on Set 23 whereas the Election result will be announced on Sep 27.
