Tripura By-Election : CPI-M files complaints to EC after tainted officer 'allegedly' given Strong Room duty

AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M has filed a complaint to the Election Commission of India (ECI), as well as Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Tripura on the ground of tainted Govt officer Ashim Saha was seen on duty inside strong room during the by-election hours.
CPI-M has also urged the Commission saying, if any duty was given to the official then to remove him (Ashim Saha) from the position.
Ashim Saha, the Sadar SDM was removed form poll duties by Election Commission in the held Lok Sabha Election after his politically biased role was suspected.
CPI-M has demanded removal of Ashim Saha from strong room duty.
Tripura by-election was held on Monday (Sept 23) and results to be published on September 27.
