Agartala, Oct 28 (TIWN): The women wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mahila Morcha Tuesday conducted a cleanliness drive as part of Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA) at Bijay Kumar road in the capital city Agartala. The drive was carried out with an aim to keep the environment clean.

Over 20 members of Mahila Morcha have participated during the cleanliness drive, said a communiqué inside BJP Mahila Morcha. According to the sources, Mahila Morcha would stage a massive cleanliness drive at Battala, the heart of the capital city on November 04.

The BJP women wing earlier carried out cleanliness programmes at different places including Kathaltali, Amtali, Ranir Khamar, the outskirts of Agartala.

The general secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha- Dipa Bhattacharya, vice president of BJP state committee- Nilima Ghosh, vice-president of Mahila Morcha- Jayashree Sharma, Dalia Sinha, Rupa Majumder, Papia Chakraborty, Sabita Paul including many others today taken part in the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan.

It is to be mentioned here; the goal is to achieve Swachh Bharat by 2019, by improving the levels of cleanliness in rural areas and making Gram Panchayats Open Defecation Free (ODF).
