AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): Tripura’s regional party INPT has demanded NRC’s immediate implementation in Northeast state Tripura.Raising voice with the demand of NRC, IPFT will hold a protest on September 24 at the Khumulwng.

Along with implementation of the NRC, INPT has demand of withdrawal of the proposed Citizenship Amendment which to rewards non-Muslims with citizenship. 

INPT has also taken responsibility to unite all the regional parties to push the demand of NRC further.

Earlier, INPT demanded NRC in Tripura from the merger (1949) rejecting India-Bangladesh’s deal in 1971.
