AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Sep 23 (TIWN): A socking video was released by Tripura’s former MP Jitendra Chaudhury where an old lady in crying on Police Official’s feet demanding her old-age-pension.

The old lady was served with notice of stopping pension and she does not even know where to go. Helpless lady rushed to the police station and complained to the OC about it and requested him anyhow to save her.

The incident took place at Satchand Block Manu Bazar Gram Panchayat’s No-4 ward. The victim is Nanibala Debnath, W/O-Nabadwip Debnath.

Jitendra Chaudhury informed that she is not the single one but hundreds of people are now served with same notices, whereas BJP in the Vision Document promised to increase social pension at Rs. 2000.

He also stated in CPI-M Govt’s time below 1 lakhs of annual income people used to get pensions and asked if the Govt has plan to re-decide the income rate ?
