AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Sep 22 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb today inaugurated new manufacturing industry of AAC block at Infra Developer, Bodhjunagar Industrial growth centre.

Deb said that Tripura is Agriculture dominated state and in this field several major steps are being taken. He wants Tripura to become best leading producer in the field of agriculture.

Today while inaugurating the program Biplab Deb said the basic and foremost parameter for development is it's education. This is the primary demand of any state. Several new initiatives has been taken in field of education. He said in the history of Tripura first time we have started centralised exam system for transparency.

He also said in this new era of development we have to keep speed of Rajdhani express aside and move on to the speed of Bullet train.

He said in the budget year 2018-19 his Government has given 31 increments in which only 9 are unprocessed. This is for the first time in the state. He discussed the growth rate of the state and gave the datas and said Rs. 390 crore 68 lakhs Foreign trade was in 2017-18 whereas it has reached Rs.537 crores in 2018-19.

CM said, “The export value from Tripura in 2017-18 was Rs. 6 crores 46 lacs whereas in 2018-19 it reached Rs. 14 crores 66 lacs”.

CM asked the journalists to let the people know who were raising questions as how much hardship and how many processes the state government had to go through to get this increase in growth rate from Rs. 390 crores 67 lakh to Rs. 537 crores after investing 50 crores.

He said Tripura is Agriculture dominated state and in this field several major steps are being taken.He wants Tripura to become best leading producer in field of agriculture.

CM requested the opposition to come forward and calculate the growth rate of state if they think he is wrong. He said credit ratio has increased up-to 17 percent. Earlier it was 36 which has increased up-to 56 percentage. He also said 91 small private industries has got license. The very important thing he today said was Tripura is only a single state which gets fertiliser from the government to enrich the agriculture.

He said Tripura is the first northeastern state which has got first prize for its logistic parameters. The corporate tax is lowest in India This is going to open big markets for manufacturing. This will enable India to compete with other countries of the world. He said all the effective measures are being taken for the promotion of the agriculture in the state.

While concluding his speech, he said he wants to see Tripura as a model State and Government of Tripura is working in that direction only.
