AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): On the onset of Badharghat by-election, ruling BJP has demanded arrests of opposition CPI-M and Congress candidates for blocking road amid Section 144’s imposition by DM. BJP alleged, both CPI-M and Congress candidates have broken the model-code-of-conduct.

Addressing media at Tripura BJP headquarter at Agartala Krishnanagar, BJP MLA Sushanta Chwodhury said, CPI-M and Congress both are doing conspiracy against BJP and today’s road blockade was a joint intrigue of both parties. More than counted numbers of people, how so many people gathered and amid model-code-of-conduct how could the CPI-M, Congress conducted a road blockade at there ?

"CPI-M, Congress both parties have senior leaders. They are well-aware of the election rules. How could do commit such a mistake?", Chowdhury told media.

Sushanta Chowdhury further said, "Voting for Congress means voting for CPI-M".

However, the previous elections witnessed heavy rigging in Tripura which has total evidences and viral footage. In this situation, how far BJP’s claims are factual it has a big doubt.

CPI-M and Congress’s joint protest and FIR against BJP activists have been countered as BJP also filed an FIR against CPI-M, Congress.

Badharghat by-election to be conducted tomorrow. BJP candidate is Mimi Majumder, CPI-M Bulti Biswas, Congress Ratan Das.
