AGARTALA, Sep 20 (TIWN): Tripura by-election which is to be conducted on September 23rd is concerning the opposition parties in the fear of mass-rigging, poll manipulation and vote theft.
Sending a letter to the Election Commission of India, Congress has reported details about the election rigging , massive violence of Lok Sabha election along with booth capturing, said Congress leader Subal Bhowmik. Also on yesterday, a team led by Birjit Sinha met CEO.
Congress now has demanded a peaceful election in the upcoming Badharghat by-election. Subal Bhowmik said, the officials who were suspended by EC during Lok Sabha Election, Tripura Govt not only restored their positions but also few of them have been promoted. In this condition, Congress demanded a “peaceful election” without any failure.
Election campaigning are going on peak as only 3 days left for by-election in Tripura’s Badharghat constituency.
All the political parties have called people to cast votes for their parties. The by-election for the 14-Badharghat Legislative Assembly constituency (SC) will be held on September 23.
The seat had become vacant after the demise of BJP MLA Dilip Sarkar.Along with Tripura, by-polls will be held for the Hamirpur seat in Uttar Pradesh, Dantewada in Chhattisgarh and Pala in Kerala on September 23.
