AGARTALA, Sep 19 (TIWN): A vehicle driver Dilip Debbarma was injured in a gunshot. This incident has triggered massive tension at Champaknagar, West District. The miscreants came by wearing helmet and thus their faces could not be recognized.

The incident took place on the evening of Viswakarma puja at Rabicharan Thakur para of Kalabagan village in Champaknagar.

They goons wearing full covered helmets fired 3 rounds and one round hit on Dilip Debbarma’s leg.They also beaten Dilip Debbarma heavily, caused severe injuries on his body.

Another person was with Dilip Debbarma who rushed to the village and informed villagers. Then all ran to spot but by that time these miscreants escaped from there.

In serious condition, Dilip Debbarma was brought in GB hospital, now undergoing treatment.
