AGARTALA, Sep 19 (TIWN): IPFT President NC Debbarma has requested Youth IPFT to cancel the ‘Strike’ plan on September 20 for now.
This decision was taken after a central committee meeting of IPFT was done at Sahid Bhagat Singh Yuva Awas. All sections of IPFT wings remained present in that meeting.
The meeting expressed concerns about the disciplinary issues of the party. NC Debbarma said, “A Party’s wing should not independently take any decision like this”.
The party president also warned action against IPFT workers if they hold strike beyond party's objection.
In November a big delegation of IPFT is going to Delhi to place their demand of Tipraland, said NC Debbarma.
“On 10th September on BJP high command’s request a meeting was done between national working president JP Nadda and IPFT and the same issue was discussed”, said Debbarma.
NC Debbarma further said, “We hope youth IPFT will listen to us. We will discuss when the strike should be held”.
Minister Mebar Jamatia said that IPFT is strict to its demand of Tipraland and not at all shifted focus from the issue. Mebar Jamatia also expressed resentment against BJP’s propaganda of BJP-central party never promised Tipraland.
